3-vehicle crash in Ocala injures at least one

A 3-vehicle crash in Ocala on Friday, February 17, sent at least one person to the hospital. Florida Highway Patrol officials report that three vehicles crashed, with one person requiring medical attention.

The accident occurred on Southwest 27th Avenue near Trinity Catholic High School on Friday afternoon, reports Ocala Fire Rescue. There is no word on the cause of the crash, but authorities say it started with a head-on collision that led to a rollover. As a result, authorities believe a person was thrown from their vehicle due to the powerful impact.

The SW 27th Avenue was blocked between SW 42nd and SW 66th Streets for a long time due to the crash, and commuters diverted to alternate routes.

There is little information to report as the crash is still under investigation. More details will emerge soon.

Prayers go out to the injured, and we wish them a speedy recovery.
