Florida Auto Collisions
Approximately 4,000 individuals lose their lives per year in traffic collisions involving commercial trucks, according to information provided by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Behaviors that may cause a truck wreck to occur include intoxication, fatigue, distraction, and speeding. Additionally, driving a commercial truck is considerably different than driving a passenger vehicle. Truck drivers can take a number of steps in order to avoid a crash. Some of these include:
- Getting enough rest before their shift
- Abstaining from drugs and/or alcohol
- Remembering to check their blind spots before attempting turns
- Driving at safe speeds at all times
Auto accidents are a leading cause of death in the United States. Americans ages 15-20 lose their lives most often due to car crashes. In the past decade, traffic collisions have become more frequent in the United States, most likely due to driver distractions. Now more than ever, drivers have so many reasons to become distracted on the roadway. From cell phones to GPS systems, technology has become a huge reason why people‘s attention is averted from the roadway.
