Brandon, FL (July 27, 2021) – On Friday, July 23, there was a fatality reported following a traffic accident involving a transit bus in the Brandon area. 

The fatal crash reportedly occurred near the Westfield Brandon Town Center. According to initial reports, the accident involved a Hillsborough Area Regional Transit bus. Emergency responders were called to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. 

The area was closed while local officials were present. Currently, the identity of the deceased victim has not been provided. No charges have been filed against the operator of the bus at this time. 

An ongoing crash investigation is being handled by local authorities.
