Brandon, FL – Man Fatally Struck by SUV at Causeway Blvd & 82nd St

Brandon, FL (May 10, 2021) – On Sunday, May 9, a Brandon man was killed after being struck on a local roadway.

The site of the fatal crash was located at the corner of Causeway Boulevard and 82nd Street S. At around 6:19 a.m., a 27-year-old man was on the roadway when he was hit by an oncoming SUV. Emergency responders were called to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.

According to reports from state troopers, a 78-year-old Wimauma woman was traveling eastbound in an SUV. It was at this time that she hit the man on the roadway, who was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

An ongoing investigation into the fatal pedestrian crash is underway.
