Brooksville, FL (August 10, 2021) – A local man was killed following a motorcycle crash in Brooksville on Monday, August 9.
The incident occurred early that morning on Jefferson Street. According to local reports, a 65-year-old motorcyclist was traveling southbound on the roadway when he was struck by an SUV at around 10:40 a.m. The 64-year-old Clearwater woman operating the vehicle was reportedly turning into the parking lot of Florida Cracker Kitchen.
The injured rider was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV was not injured in the impact. The identities of the involved parties have not been revealed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
