Cheval, FL – Motorcyclist Dies in Collision at Dale Mabry Hwy & Veterans Expy

Cheval, FL (July 28, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash in the Cheval area resulted in the death of a Land O’ Lakes man on Tuesday, July 27. 

The deadly crash occurred on Dale Mabry Highway near Veterans Expressway early that morning at around 9:30 a.m. According to local reports, a 17-year-old Odessa woman was traveling northbound on Dale Mabry in an SUV when she attempted to make a left turn. The woman’s vehicle entered directly into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. 

The 21-year-old Land O’ Lakes man crashed into the right side of the vehicle. The man was wearing a helmet but still sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is currently underway.
