Clearwater, FL (November 16, 2022) – On Tuesday, November 15, one person was injured after a school bus accident in the Clearwater area.
The incident was reported on Belleair Road at around 2:15 p.m. It was reported that a Nissan Frontier was headed west when the driver entered opposing traffic due to stopped traffic. A Pinellas County school bus was traveling east and veered to avoid a head-on collision.
The Nissan ultimately hit the back left portion of the bus. Neither the drivers nor the students on board the bus were hurt, but a bus monitor was injured in the impact. No additional information has been provided.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
