Florida hit-and-run crimes remain a threat
Recent years have seen an increase in hit-and-run accidents in Florida. A growing number of people are afraid to cross the street. The number of pedestrian deaths in our state is the second highest in the country. Recent reports indicate that the sunshine state recorded a 31% increase in pedestrian deaths in 2021.
A disproportionate number of drivers fail to maintain the awareness and alertness required while driving safely. Hit-and-run accidents often result in death or serious injuries, such as fractured bones, concussions, and debilitating road rash.
No amount of money can compensate for a loved one’s loss. However, financial compensation certainly helps in the healing process. The family of a Florida pedestrian accident victim should receive justice and compensation.
