Florida pedestrian accident claims life on Blanding Boulevard

A tragic Florida pedestrian accident killed one person Thursday, January 05, on Blanding Boulevard near Jefferson Avenue, reports the Florida Highway Patrol.
Officials confirmed that a sedan being driven by an 84 year old man south on State Road 21 knocked down a pedestrian that was trying to cross the road.
While the pedestrian died on the spot, the driver stayed at the accident scene. Troopers are investigating the pedestrian’s identity. As of now, there is no additional information available.
In the wake of the crash, both the southbound lanes and a northbound turn of Blanding Boulevard were blocked.
