Gibsonton, FL (December 17, 2021) – A tricycle rider was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle in Gibsonton on Thursday morning, December 16. The deadly accident occurred on US-41 at around 11 a.m.
Local reports revealed that a driver was headed eastbound on the highway. The motorist swerved to avoid the rider who had reportedly fallen off the bike. Another driver also attempted to hit the fallen pedestrian but failed to do so.
The rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, the identity of the deceased party has not been revealed. No further information on the deadly crash has been reported.
An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by local law enforcement personnel.
