Haines City, FL (September 20, 2022) – A driver was seriously injured after a crash involving a school bus in Haines City on Monday morning, September 19. The collision took place on Holly Hill Cutoff Road near US-27 at around 5:30 a.m.
It was reported that a school bus was traveling eastbound when it entered the path of a southbound sedan. The sedan crashed into the left rear of the bus. The 21-year-old Treasure Island woman driving the vehicle sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
The 69-year-old Davenport woman operating the bus was not harmed. No children were on board the bus at the time of the accident.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local authorities.
