Holiday, FL (August 26, 2022) – An elderly man was killed after being hit by a pickup truck in the Holiday area on Friday morning, August 26.
The fatal accident took place as a 71-year-old Holiday man was walking along US-19 near Mile Stretch Drive. He was struck by an oncoming Ford F-150 pickup truck at around 4:15 a.m. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The 65-year-old Spring Hill man driving the pickup nor his passenger were hurt. No additional information has been provided.
Local authorities are handling the ongoing accident investigation.
