Lakeland, FL (November 8, 2022) – On Monday, November 7, a man was fatally hit by a motor vehicle outside of Lakeland. 

The deadly pedestrian crash was reported on US-98 at around 10:55 p.m. that evening. Local reports revealed that the victim was walking northbound on the highway when he stumbled and was hit by a 1989 Buick Century. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. 

The deceased victim was later identified as 46-year-old Kelly Boyd. No other injuries were reported in the accident. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is in progress.
