Land O Lakes, FL – Two Killed After Semi Makes U-Turn at US-41 & Crystal Lake Rd

Land O Lakes, FL (August 14, 2021) – A collision involving a semi-truck ended in the death of two people in the Land O’ Lakes area on Friday, August 13.

The deadly crash occurred on US-41 near Crystal Lake Road late that evening. Local reports revealed that two Land O’ Lakes men were traveling southbound in the center lane of the highway in a Ford Mustang. At the same time, a single-unit 4300 Series International truck was headed northbound.

Reports from authorities revealed that the semi attempted to make a U-turn in front of the Mustang. This caused the Mustang to crash into the side of the truck and underneath the frame of the vehicle. The 30-year-old man and the 32-year-old man traveling in the Mustang suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

An ongoing investigation into the deadly accident is underway.
