Florida Distracted Driving Crashes
Florida should place a high focus on safety by prohibiting distracted driving. According to the State Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ most recent figures, the state experienced approximately 48,500 distracted driving collisions in a single year. These collisions resulted in 300 fatalities and 2,700 serious injuries. Data from around the country show a similarly bleak picture. Eight people lost their lives due to distracted driving in the United States every day.
If the insurance company for the party who caused the accident chooses to dispute your claim, it may be some time before you obtain adequate compensation to compensate for the harm done to your person as a result of the accident. This is something that is highly dependent on the key aspects of the scenario you are in. Having a Florida car accident attorney on your side who is familiar with what to expect and who has a list of preventative steps to take may be very beneficial for you to make decisions and maintain control over your emotions during such a stressful moment. This attorney will be aware of what to anticipate and will have a list of steps to take before taking preventative measures.
Every accident involving a car has the potential to be a dangerous situation. When something awful happens, like a car accident, the hours, days, and weeks that follow can be just as challenging as the months and years that follow after the calamity has occurred. Our law office has represented clients in the past who had cases that were fairly comparable to this one involving vehicle accidents in Florida. Even while the collision may have only lasted a few moments, it is likely that the victims’ wounds will not be totally healed for a period of time despite how quickly the incident ended.
