Lithia, FL – Two Killed, One Injured in Head-On Crash on CR 39

Lithia, FL (January 7, 2022) – Two people were killed and another person injured following a head-on collision in Lithia on Thursday, January 6. The fatal crash took place on County Road 39 near Thompson Road that evening.

All northbound lanes on the roadway were closed due to the accident. Two people sustained fatal injuries in the collision. One other person was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No additional information has been revealed at this time.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
