Madeira Beach, FL (June 3, 2021) – An early morning fire in Madeira Beach resulted in the death of a 70-year-old man on Wednesday, June 2.
The incident was reported at around 7:40 a.m. that morning. The site was located at a residence located at the 140 block of 147th Avenue. Local reports indicated that a neighbor reported the blaze to authorities.
After firefighters extinguished the fire, they located a 70-year-old man inside. He was taken to a nearby medical facility where he was later pronounced dead. The fire was reported to be accidental in nature.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly blaze is underway.
