Man killed in a deadly crash in Orange County

Florida Highway Patrol reported a deadly crash in Orange County on State Road 520 around 12:30 AM on Friday, February 03. A 63-year-old Orlando man died tragically in an accident that involved two vehicles.

Troopers said a westbound Toyota Yaris made a left turn in front of a gold Nissan Murano heading east on SR 520, leading the front of the Nissan to crash into the right side of the Toyota. The driver of the Toyota was seriously injured in the accident and rushed to the Waterford Lakes Hospital. Unfortunately, he died due to his injuries.

The driver of Nissan, a 46-year-old man from Orlando, received minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Randal Park’s Emergency Room.

The crash report indicates that both drivers were wearing their seat belts. A detailed investigation is currently underway.

The collision caused substantial damage to both vehicles, so the eastern lanes of SR 520 remained closed for a prolonged period.

We extend our deepest condolences to the deceased’s loved ones. Prayers and thoughts go out to the injured.
