Manatee Co, FL (August 17, 2021) – A head-on collision in Manatee County ended in the death of a Myakka City man on Monday, August 16.
The deadly crash occurred on County Road 675 just north of FL-64 at around 4:45 a.m. that morning. The 33-year-old Myakka City man was reportedly taking a curve on the roadway in his SUV when it crashed head-on with a truck in the oncoming lane. Emergency responders were sent to the scene to render aid to the involved parties.
The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two men from Bradenton traveling in the 18-wheeler sustained injuries in the crash. At this time, the identities of the involved parties have not yet been released.
An ongoing investigation into the fatal collision is being managed by law enforcement officials.
