Multi-vehicle accident in Florida leaves a victim dead

Troopers are investigating a multi-vehicle accident in Florida that killed one person on US 41 in Charlotte County on Monday, January 23.
The crash reportedly occurred around 7 AM when a pickup towing a trailer tried to switch lanes and veered into the path of an SUV. The SUV lost control after this unexpected entry and crashed into the side of a sedan. According to officers, a semi-truck has also been added as a non-contact vehicle in the collision report.
The horrific impact of the crash claimed the life of a passenger in the sedan – pronounced dead at the scene.
In another tragic outcome, the SUV’s driver lost her unborn child. The woman herself is in critical condition in a local hospital.
Florida Highway Patrol is conducting in-depth investigations and will release more specifics when they become available.
