Multi-vehicle accident in Florida leaves a victim dead

Troopers are investigating a multi-vehicle accident in Florida that killed one person on US 41 in Charlotte County on Monday, January 23.

The crash reportedly occurred around 7 AM when a pickup towing a trailer tried to switch lanes and veered into the path of an SUV. The SUV lost control after this unexpected entry and crashed into the side of a sedan. According to officers, a semi-truck has also been added as a non-contact vehicle in the collision report.

The horrific impact of the crash claimed the life of a passenger in the sedan – pronounced dead at the scene.

In another tragic outcome, the SUV’s driver lost her unborn child. The woman herself is in critical condition in a local hospital.

Florida Highway Patrol is conducting in-depth investigations and will release more specifics when they become available.

Our deepest condolences go out to the victims’ families at this time of grief. We send our prayers to the injured and wish her a speedy recovery.
