New Port Richey, FL – Passenger Killed in Motorcycle Crash at Little Rd & Massachusetts Ave

New Port Richey, FL (December 14, 2022) – The passenger of a motorcycle was killed after the rider reportedly ran a red light in New Port Richey on Tuesday, December 13. 

It was reported that a 43-year-old Hudson man was operating a motorcycle on Massachusetts Avenue when he collided with a sedan driven by a 41-year-old woman from New Port Richey at around 2:25 p.m. The woman reportedly had a green arrow leading up to the incident. 

The impact caused both passengers on the bike to be ejected. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment, but the 49-year-old Hudson woman later succumbed to her injuries. The rider was critically injured, while the New Port Richey woman was also hurt. 

No further updates have been provided. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.
