North Port, FL – Auto Collision Ends in Injuries Sumter Blvd near I-75

North Port, FL (October 23, 2022) – A serious car accident was reported to emergency dispatchers in North Port on the morning of October 21. Crews were sent to the wreck site at around 8:17 a.m. on Friday. 

Reports show that the accident occurred on Interstate Sumter Boulevard West at Interstate 75. At least two vehicles collided in the area and caused one or more people to become injured. 

All lanes of Sumter Boulevard were closed while emergency responders worked in the area. Currently, the cause of the wreck is still being investigated by local police. 

The road remained closed for an extended period of time on the morning of October 21. Drivers commuting near the crash scene were forced to find different routes. 

Few details are available to report at this time.
