North Port, FL – Two Critically Injured in Pileup Crash at US-41 & Ortiz Blvd

North Port, FL (November 26, 2021) – Two women suffered critical injuries after a traffic accident in North Port on Friday morning, November 26. The collision took place at the intersection of US-41 and Ortiz Boulevard at around 9:20 a.m.

According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 68 and 103-year-old woman were headed eastbound on US-41 when they attempted to make a left turn at Ortiz Boulevard. They collided with a westbound vehicle driven by a 27-year-old North Port man.

The first impact caused the North Port man to hit a third vehicle that was waiting at a red light. The two women in the first car sustained serious injuries. Two other people in the third vehicle were also injured.

An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
