One injured in a Florida traffic accident involving a sedan and a tractor-trailer

A Florida traffic accident between a sedan and a tractor-trailer near Greene street, Hollywood at about 8 AM on Thursday, January 26 snapped off the sedan’s roof and trapped the sedan driver inside.
Hollywood Firefighters helped pull the victim from the sedan which appeared to have smashed into the trailer and had its roof ripped off.
Police sources report that the victim was transported to the Memorial Regional Hospital for trauma care. The identity of the victim was not disclosed by the investigators.
Hollywood Police spokesperson Christian Lata said that the driver was incredibly lucky to escape with relatively minor injuries following an accident of this scale.
The road remained closed for a long time near the crash scene and commuters were directed to switch to alternative routes.
At this time, little information is available to report as the crash is still being investigated and more details shall be released when available.
