Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an Osceola County accident that killed a 72-year-old woman Wednesday night, March 8, on Narcoossee Road in St. Cloud.
Troopers said the collision occurred when a northbound Chevrolet Silverado on Narcoossee Road turned left to join Boggy Creek Road and crashed into the left side of a Volkswagen Tiguan approaching from the south. All three occupants of the Volkswagen were injured seriously and rushed to the hospital.
One of the passengers in the Volkswagen, a Michigan woman of 72, died from her injuries at the hospital. Both the driver and the other passenger remain critical. The Chevrolet driver stayed at the scene and wasn’t hurt.
An investigation has begun into the cause of the fatal crash, and more details are on the way.
We extend our deepest condolences to the departed woman’s family and friends. Both the injured are in our thoughts and we wish them a speedy recovery.
