Florida Hit-&-Run Accidents
A hit-and-run accident can leave you or a family member with severe injuries and other damages. Florida Highway patrol handled 131 fatal hit-and-run incidents in 2021, an increase from 124 in 2020, of which 91 are currently ongoing. These investigations are still underway, and several leads point to potential charges.
Biking in Florida is the best option for bikers who enjoy riding outside. Due to the fantastic weather and stunning scenery, it’s the perfect place for riding for transportation or recreation. Sadly, it also has one of the highest per-capita rates in the country for bicycle deaths.
In the aftermath of an event that resulted in injuries, obtaining compensation often entails submitting a claim for personal injuries to the insurance carrier of the party that was at blame. Insurance companies would rather have victims engage with them directly rather than using attorneys because it is far simpler to persuade a victim to settle for an unreasonably low settlement when the victim works directly with the insurance company.
