Oxford, FL – Three Killed in Pileup Crash with Dump Truck on I-75

Oxford, FL (October 27, 2022) – Three people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck in Oxford on Wednesday, October 26. 

The fatal crash took place on Interstate 75 that afternoon. It was reported that a dump truck and a Subaru car were headed southbound on the highway as a 2021 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck with a trailer and a 2022 Chevy SUV were traveling north. The Subaru and the dump truck reportedly collided, and both vehicles crossed the median into oncoming traffic. 

Both vehicles then caught fire in the northbound lanes. The driver of the pickup and a 40-year-old Texas man in the Chevrolet were pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old in the SUV was hospitalized in serious condition. A passenger in the dump truck was also killed. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of this deadly accident is in progress.
