Palm Harbor, FL – Woman Killed After Tesla Crashes Into Home on Caird Way

Palm Harbor, FL (September 5, 2021) – On Friday, September 3, two people were killed after a car drove into a residence in Palm Harbor.

The incident was reported late that night at around 10:20 p.m. The driver of a Tesla Model S Plaid was headed northbound on Manning Road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle reportedly ran a stop sign as it neared Hermosa Drive.

As the car traveled through the intersection, it hit an embankment. The vehicle flew into the air before crashing into a residence located at the 1498 block of Caird Way. The Tesla broke through the walls of the home and hit one of the three adult occupants inside. One of the residents, a 69-year-old woman, was killed in the impact.

A 43-year-old Odessa man traveling in the vehicle was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
