Parrish, FL (June 23, 2022) – Two people were hurt following an accident at a construction site in Parrish on Thursday morning, June 23. The incident occurred at the 11415 block of 65th Court at around 10 a.m.
Local authorities were initially alerted to a crane collapse, but it was later revealed that a truss collapsed at the scene. The workers fell nearly 20 feet to the ground. One victim suffered head injuries and was flown to Blake Medical Center for treatment. Another work suffered a broken arm and was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital.
No further updates have been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
