Pasco Co, FL (August 6, 2021) – A Tennessee woman was killed and two others were injured following a vehicle collision in Pasco County on Thursday, August 5.

Local reports revealed that the deadly crash took place on Interstate 75 near mile marker 293. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 65-year-old Tennessee woman was traveling southbound on the highway in an SUV. The driver reportedly traveled in the median in order to make a left turn.

That is when her vehicle entered the path of an oncoming pickup truck. The SUV was struck by the pickup, causing both vehicles to come to rest on the shoulder. The SUV caught fire, and the woman sustained fatal injuries. The driver and juvenile passenger in the truck were also injured.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
