Pinellas Park, FL (August 3, 2022) – There were multiple confirmed injuries after the driver of a BMW crashed into an ambulance in Pinellas Park on Friday, July 29. 

Local reports revealed that a blue BMW crashed with a Sunstar ambulance at the intersection of 49th Street and 118th Avenue at around 4:45 p.m. The ambulance reportedly contained three Sunstar workers, a St. Petersburg Fire paramedic, and a patient. The impact caused the ambulance to overturn. 

All five were transported to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment. The patient was in critical condition. The occupants of the BMW refused treatment. 

An ongoing accident investigation is underway.
