Pinellas Park, FL (September 30, 2022) – A generator explosion at a home in Pinellas Park on Thursday, September 29, left two men injured. The incident occurred at a residence at the 7900 block of 53rd Way North at around 11:30 p.m.
The victims were using a generator after the recent Hurricane Ian knocked out the power in the neighborhood. It exploded later that evening, and both men were transported to a local hospital for treatment. One was listed in critical condition.
No further updates on the conditions of the injured parties have been provided.
Law enforcement is in charge of the ongoing accident investigation.
