Plant City, FL (December 2, 2021) – A Mulberry man was killed and another man injured following a single-vehicle crash in Plant City on Thursday morning, December 2. The fatal accident took place on Interstate 4 near Thonotosassa Road around 12:30 a.m.
A car driven by a Mulberry man was traveling at a high rate of speed on the interstate. The driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle near Thonotosassa Road and crashed into the guardrail. The impact caused the driver to be ejected from the vehicle.
The 38-year-old Mulberry man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 34-year-old Lakeland man riding as a passenger was hospitalized for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further updates have been provided.
Local law enforcement officials are currently handling the ongoing crash investigation.
