Riverview, FL – Update: Cyclist Dies Weeks After Struck by Pickup on Riverview Dr

Riverview, FL (December 6, 2021) – A cyclist sustained fatal injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle in Riverview on Friday morning, November 19. The deadly crash took place at around 10:49 a.m. on Riverview Drive.

Local reports revealed that a 73-year-old Riverview man was riding his bike northbound on the roadway when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 51-year-old Riverview woman. The injured cyclist was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead on Wednesday, December 1. The driver was not injured in the crash.

An ongoing investigation into the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement.
