Sarasota, FL (December 8, 2022) – There was a fatality reported after a car accident in the Sarasota area on Tuesday afternoon, December 6.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene on Interstate 75 SB near FL-681 mile marker 199. At least one person involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries. The area was closed while emergency crews were present. 

The identity of the deceased has not been revealed at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is in progress.
