Deadly Pedestrian Accidents in Tampa FL
There is little to help shield a pedestrian from the full force of a major accident. Florida is a notoriously hazardous state for pedestrians, especially in urban areas. Although traffic fatality rates have decreased throughout the nation, the number of pedestrian fatalities has continued to rise every year. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that pedestrians are 1.5 times more likely than drivers to be killed in an accident. In 2013, Florida was responsible for around 20 percent of all pedestrian deaths in the United States.
