Pedestrian Accidents in Florida
Despite lower overall mortality rates, the number of pedestrians killed or injured in car accidents rises every year. In the United States, a pedestrian was killed every 88 minutes on average in 2017. In Florida, pedestrians are particularly susceptible. The state has a bad name for being a risky location to visit. It’s impossible to shield people from the entire power of a crash. As a result, pedestrians are more likely to sustain serious injuries. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, pedestrians are 1.5 times more likely than passenger car occupants to be killed in a vehicle collision.
Even if you believe your claim is impregnable, you should consult a Sarasota pedestrian injury attorney to ensure that your right to compensation is protected in the event of an accident.
