Sarasota Springs, FL (September 12, 2022) – A two-vehicle collision in Sarasota Springs left one person dead on Monday morning, September 12.
The fatal crash was reported at the corner of Oakhurst Boulevard and Bee Ridge Road at around 8 a.m. It was reported that a 76-year-old man in a Ford Bronco was stopped at the intersection. The man made a left turn onto Bee Ridge Road and was hit by a 42-year-old Sarasota man in a pickup truck.
Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to render aid. The 76-year-old man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is underway.
