Seminole, FL (August 10, 2022) – A multi-vehicle collision in Seminole on Tuesday, August 9, left one person dead and two others injured. The crash occurred at the corner of 102nd Avenue and 97th Street at around 2:45 p.m.
Local reports reveal that an eastbound SUV driven by a 55-year-old St. Petersburg man was traveling behind multiple other vehicles. A pickup truck, SUV, and a tractor-trailer were stopped at the intersection as two other SUVs were coming to a stop.
The driver of the first SUV failed to stop and crashed into the rear of one of the other SUVs. This caused a chain-reaction crash. The first driver suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Two other victims, a 46-year-old Seminole woman and a 75-year-old man, were hospitalized for treatment.
An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
Rear-End Crashes in Florida
If you were in a rear-end vehicle accident in Florida, you could be struggling to pay growing medical expenses, especially if your injuries prevent you from working. It’s possible that you have a claim for damages for such harms and losses. Nearly half of all two-vehicle car accidents that occurred on our roads in the three years between 2012 and 2014 involved a rear-end collision. About 1,700 individuals each year in the US pass away in rear-end collisions.
A person’s body might suffer substantial physical injury in a car collision. These injuries could deteriorate without medical care or with inadequate rehabilitation, resulting in continuous pain and discomfort that can make it challenging to engage in physical activity. Those who have been harmed in an accident must receive prompt and appropriate medical attention as soon as feasible.
Daily traffic collisions occur, and some of the lives they affect are forever altered as a result. Accident victims may have severe, maybe permanent bodily injuries in addition to monetary losses due to missed earnings and medical costs. These losses occur in addition to the damage to accident-related property. If you or a member of your family has suffered injuries in a vehicle accident, it is in your best interest to get in touch with a personal injury attorney in Florida as soon as you can.
