St Petersburg, FL – Christopher Smith Killed in Motorcycle Crash at 1st Ave & 42nd St

St Petersburg, FL (December 8, 2022) – A two-vehicle crash in St. Petersburg on Wednesday evening, December 7, resulted in a fatality. 

The deadly accident took place at the intersection of 1st Avenue N. and 42nd street N. at around 9:24 p.m. It was reported that 44-year-old Christopher Smith of St. Petersburg was headed west on a motorcycle. Smith collided with a northbound Subaru Legacy. 

Smith sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not hurt in the collision. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is in progress.
