St Petersburg, FL – One Killed, Two Injured in Crash with Truck at 5th Ave & 49th St

St Petersburg, FL (October 17, 2021) – A two-vehicle accident in St. Petersburg on Sunday, October 17, left one person dead and two others injured.

The site of the fatal crash was located at the junction of 5th Avenue and 49th Street N. A Mustang was reportedly traveling at the intersection earlier that morning at around 10 a.m. The vehicle was involved in a collision with a large pickup truck.

The area was closed for several hours. One man was pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. Two other victims were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of sustained injuries.

An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
