St Petersburg, FL – Patrick Cauley Dies in Motorcycle Crash at 5th Ave & 31st St

St Petersburg, FL (December 18, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash in St. Petersburg on Friday afternoon, December 17, resulted in the death of a motorcyclist. The deadly accident occurred at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 31st Street at around 2 p.m. 

Local reports revealed that a black Infinity Q50 was headed westbound as a motorcyclist was traveling eastbound. The driver of the Infinity made a left turn at the intersection, and the two vehicles collided. The impact caused 65-year-old Patrick Cauley of St. Petersburg to be ejected from the bike. 

Cauley was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead. He was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
