St Petersburg, FL (March 8, 2022) – A Sarasota man was killed following a two-vehicle collision in St. Petersburg on Thursday morning, March 3. The deadly accident took place at around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of 34th Street N. and 5th Avenue N.
Local reports revealed that 84-year-old Carolyn Kiefer was driving northbound in a Chevrolet Equinox. As she was making a left turn at the intersection, her vehicle was struck by an oncoming Toyota Camry. Kiefer and her passenger, Robert Kiefer, suffered serious injuries in the accident.
Robert Kiefer was later pronounced dead by attending medical personnel. No additional information on the deadly crash has been provided at this time.
Local officials are handling the ongoing accident investigation.
