St Petersburg, FL (December 25, 2021) – There were multiple injuries reported following a traffic accident in St. Petersburg on Thursday afternoon, December 23. The crash was reported at the intersection of 4th Street N. and 70th Avenue N. at around 2:41 p.m.
Local reports revealed that 68-year-old Yin Hua Zhuang of Clearwater was headed northbound in a 2005 Toyota Sequoia when he suffered a medical episode. The vehicle crossed into southbound traffic and crashed head-on with a 2010 Nissan Sentra and a 2011 Honda Odyssey.
The Sequoia then left the roadway where it collided with a tree. Zhuang and a 74-year-old passenger in the vehicle suffered critical injuries in the impact. Another passenger in the Sequoia and the driver of the Sentra were also injured.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
