St Petersburg, FL (February 8, 2022) – At least one person was injured in a major traffic accident in St. Petersburg on Tuesday afternoon, February 8, according to local officials. The accident happened at 12:33 p.m. near the intersection of US-19 and 5th Avenue N.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to assist the injured. As a result of the collision, all east, north, and southbound lanes were temporarily closed. At least one person was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. At this time, the extent of the injuries is unknown.
