Florida Auto Accident Lawyers
The state of Florida is among the top three states in the nation with the most car accidents reported per year. On average, there are more than 400,000 yearly vehicle crashes in the Sunshine State. Over 150,000 people sustain injuries in these collisions while more than 3,000 are killed. Alarmingly, the main cause of these wrecks is driver negligence.
Some common forms of driver negligence include:
Driver distraction is currently the leading cause of car crashes throughout the United States. In 2019, over 420,000 people were hurt in car accidents caused by distracted drivers in the US. Drivers who choose to pay attention to their phones, the people in their vehicle, or anything other than the roadway will put themselves and everyone on the road around them at serious risk for injuries or even death.
When you or someone you love has been hurt in a car crash caused by driver negligence, it is important that you understand your existing legal rights. Driver negligence is illegal in the United States and has become a serious problem that causes thousands of injuries and deaths every year. For this reason, negligent drivers are usually forced to pay hefty fines and may even face jail time due to their reckless and careless actions.
Those victimized by driver negligence are eligible to collect financial compensation that can help them pay for some or all of the costs that stem from their accidents. Medical bills related to a severe auto accident can cost a fortune. When paired with extensive vehicle repairs and lost wages, an injured victim’s bank account may be drained and their nerves may be frazzled.
