Emergency personnel were sighted at the scene of the incident at around 11:25 a.m. The accident reportedly occurred near the crossing of W. Hillsborough Avenue and N. Armenia Avenue. Footage from the crash site revealed that a gray Toyota reportedly collided with a box truck.

The passenger car was trapped underneath the truck as a result of the crash. The occupants were trapped inside, and emergency responders were called to the scene to extricate the involved parties. At this time, the severity and number of resulting injuries have not yet been confirmed. The injured parties were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.

An ongoing investigation into the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more details will be made public as it continues.

Trucking Accidents in Tampa

Tampa, FL - Critical Injuries in Two-Vehicle Crash at Hillsborough Ave & Armenia AveThe bulk of cargo in the United States is delivered by trucks, and these big vehicles are commonly observed on Florida roadways. Long amounts of time on the road for truck drivers sometimes lead to unwise and risky decisions when driving a large rig, contributing to devastating auto accidents in the state. Passengers in personal vehicles may suffer life-altering or even fatal injuries as a result of a large truck crashing into their car.

Almost 500,000 semi-truck collisions occur each year, resulting in thousands of deaths. Passengers were involved in more than 67% of the 4,119 transportation deaths documented in 2009. Across the country, the number of fatal transportation accidents has continued to grow. Those injured in a serious crash involving a semi-truck should consult a qualified Tampa personal injury lawyer in order to determine their eligibility to obtain lost compensation for their damages.

Semi-trucks cause more than their fair share of devastating vehicle collisions across the country, including right here in Tampa, Florida. The statistics speak for themselves, and the bottom line is that Tampa trucking accidents are extremely dangerous, especially when they involve smaller passenger vehicles. Rig operators are required to make safety a priority, but due to intense pressures on the road, even the most skilled trucker can make a critical error that leads to a catastrophic 18-wheeler accident in Tampa.

The Tampa semi-truck crash lawyers at Rebein Law represent victims of truck accidents, and we are dedicated to making sure that our clients recover the compensation they need to recover after a serious accident.
