Tampa, FL (August 2, 2022) – A man was cited following a crash with injuries in Tampa on Saturday, July 30. The accident occurred at the corner of 9th and Crawford Streets at around 12:26 p.m. that afternoon.
Local reports revealed that 70-year-old Monica Villy of New Port Richey was headed north in a blue 2006 Hyundai on Crawford Street. It was then that an eastbound yellow 2019 Chevrolet Camaro failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed into Villy’s vehicle. The Hyundai sustained significant damage, and emergency responders were sent to the scene.
The driver of the Chevy, 50-year-old David Schieffer of Carroll, was cited for failure to obey a stop sign. No additional information has been released.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
