Tampa, FL – Driver Injures Five Victims After Crashing into Waffle House

Tampa, FL (August 9, 2021) – There were multiple hospitalizations after a driver crashed into a Waffle House in Tampa on Sunday, August 8.

Local sources revealed that the driver of a red pickup truck was traveling on W. Columbus Drive when the vehicle crashed into the building at N. Gomez Avenue, roughly a mile from Raymond James Stadium. The Tampa Fire Rescue revealed that an adult and a child sustained serious injuries in the accident.

Three other people were also injured in the crash. At this time, it is unknown if the injured parties were in the restaurant or traveling in the pickup. Significant damage was done to the building, which was confirmed by footage from the scene. No further updates on the crash have been provided at this time.
