Florida Auto Collisions
The number of fatal car crashes reported in Florida is high compared to other states in the nation. On average, over 3,000 people are killed in Florida car wrecks per year. Approximately 400,000 vehicle collisions are reported annually in Florida. These wrecks cause injuries to over 150,000 people annually. This implies that more than 1,000 collisions happen per day in the Sunshine State.
The majority of auto accidents in the United States and throughout the state of Florida are the result of driver negligence. Driver negligence causes more traffic wrecks than bad weather and vehicle malfunctions combined in the US. Driver intoxication, distraction, fatigue, and speeding are four leading types of negligence that lead to injuries and fatalities for millions of people per year.
In the United States, more than 4 million people are hurt in car accidents per year while close to 40,000 lose their lives. If the majority of the accidents that happen in the United States are caused by driver negligence, this means that millions of people are injured in preventable collisions per year.
